Our reimagined Alliance is a community of more than 100 leading nonprofits working in K-12 education, postsecondary to workforce pathways, and democracy and civic engagement.
About the Alliance
A Community for the Executive Teams of the Nation’s Leading Nonprofits
Through an integrated model of leadership development, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, we add annual value to our member organizations by helping them improve.
Our programming offers senior leaders a dedicated space to build trust, relationships, and the habits of working together while consistently reinforcing the practical and powerful benefits of sharing and collaboration across organizations.
We then use that “culture of the collective” to ideate, design, and launch multi-organization collaborations, focused on opportunities in our issue areas that are too large or too complex for any one organization to address on its own—but where strategic coalitions of 20+ organizations can unlock new possibilities. APA then designs and launches those initiatives.

Two-year leadership cohorts facilitate deep sharing, relationship building, problem solving, and content-driven exploration among leaders who serve in the same functional role at organizations of similar stage and size.

Our capacity building program tracks and strategic support offerings are designed to address the most important, shared needs that exist across our member organizations.

Annual Research
Each year, our community defines a learning agenda and APA conducts national, youth-centered research with a specific focus on the insights most likely to drive significant practice change.
